It has been a week of great victories for AWWDA at the Nairobi show which opened its gates on 26th September 2022. The Agency scooped the first position in two categories including the best stand in water and wastewater and the best non-agricultural based stand.

For the first time in history, AWWDA took the third position in the best stand demonstrating environmental and quality standards. The Agency was also 3rd in the best stand in the social functions category.

It was also a great honour for Athi Water Works Development Agency to host the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya H.E Rigathi Gachagua, the Governor of Nairobi Hon. Johnson Sakaja, the Deputy Governor of Nairobi Hon. James Muchiri. The dignitaries were received by Director Ben Kijuu, CEO Eng. Michael M. Thuita, management and staff.

H.E Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua presented our Director Ben Kijuu and CEO Eng. Michael M. Thuita with the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Life Governorship Award for exceptional service to society.
